My Nephew's Experience

My nephew and I were driving to Oxford and as we negotiated the roundabout he commented there was something wrong with the car, but he was not sure what it was. About 100 yards up the road was a set of traffic lights and a guy just pulled in from the shopping center. He was looking at our car, and as we drove off, he drove by our side. At the next traffic lights, he motioned us to open our window. He told us we had a flat tyre, and commented if we want we could take the next exit and he can fix it for us at his garage.

At the garage, he fixed then asked when it was due for MOT, we told him in couple of weeks. He suggested it seemed to have few problems and if we were interested he could fix them for us. He advised us though to have an MOT done so that when he did the repairs he could tend to whatever may be required for MOT. We complied, and the MOT result was bad news, it failed badly with a report it was dangerous to drive.

Back at A1Autotech, the guy was sympathetic but his hands were tied as some of the dangerous repairs needed new parts which he had to order. He offered to rent us one of his cars. We were scared that he might take advantage of us. By the following day he called and said all repairs had been done and had been bookedd for repeat MOT within an hour. My nephew went to pick it, paid the bill and took for MOT. Unfortunately, one of the lights was fading, so was about to fail on that, he pleaded to have it passed and promised he would get it done, the guy refused. He then commented, "the company that recommeded you here maintains all his vehicles to high standard, so I will change the bulb for you free".

When my nephew went back to thank him and pay for the car hire, he expected to be charged for 2 days but was charged just for one day. This to me is a good enough reason to say this is a star service company, where there is honesty, good customer service, and a company which can be trusted to deliver to highest standard without trying to take advantage of customer ignorance or misfortune.
